I have one puck that I use when jacking manually... when using a lift 4 pucks are very nice to use.

If you don't have something like the A&A rocker rails, then pucks are necessary to jack from the rails if you don't want to mess up your rocker panels....and they also prevent the jack from sliding off the rails and causing a LOT more damage. If you jack from the subframes, then you don't need pucks. Make your pucks from hockey pucks and eyebolts unless you like spending money.

Not needed at all. They are just a project for your new toy, then some will call it a "MOD". I have never seen a shop with a lift that did not have wood or composition blocks to shim the lift arms when necessary. The Vette is not the only car that might need shims to lift properly.

Yes you do need them. I got som plastic ones from a BMW dealership. They clip into the frame and don't have to be removed. They were only $5 each.

Needed if you are lifting from the jacking points, (ie a post lift or a corner of the car) Not needed if you are using a floor jack and lifting from a cross member and using jack stands...

Make you own...4 hockey pucks .99 each and a #10 I hook...total cost about 5 bucks...

Peace

I made some up and have never used them. I drive the car up onto some 2" extruded Styrofoam. 4 pieces. This gets the car high enough to get the jack under the front so that I can jack up the front by way of the front cross-member. I use a 2X6 to span the cross-member and then let the jack down once I have put a jack stand on either side of the jack. Then I go to the rear and do the same thing. It works great. You can get into the car and it's very stable. .02 deposited.

I would recommend getting a set of pucks, whether you get hockey pucks or a custom set is up to you. The cheapest and safest way to lift the Vette is to use a set of ramps and drive up on them and then raise the rear as pictured. I prefer to place the stands on the pucks in the rear though.
