Default Rodney said it best...........

In one of my recent posts, in a state of frustration, I wrote DIC when I actually meant HUD. There were some forum members that made a gallant effort to be helpful, and there were others who jumped all over my typo to express their scorn & ridicule. To the former I say thank you & to the latter I'd like to quote the late, great Rodney Dangerfield" Everyone likes a little ***, but nobody likes a smart ***!"

So, did we figure out the problem? Did your HUD fix itself eventually?

BTW, I say as long as one person is trying to help, there are always going to be comments made in jest. I think a lot of people come here to blow off steam ... just don't take it personally.

Well said. Sometimes I think people get hypercritical here ... nice to know there are perfect people among us! The guys without typos every now and then must be the stars of their "steno pools". For the most part, comments are funny as H_ll so make sure you never leave your sense of humor somewhere else when you're on the Forum.

Very funny but not a question I would ask or want to know the answer to.

gltrap54,

The best defense if a good offense. Fight sarcasm with sarcasm as you have displayed. Love those RD quotes.

As much as I love this Forum, there are a lot more "bitches" than there were in 1999 when I first joined. But that's OK, there are twice as many in "Viper Alley!!" Those guys are brutal!

As one of those that responded to the thread you are talking about.
I was honestly trying to help you but had no idea what you were talking about. You need to

The Forum is full of people that genuinely want to help. Most however are not mind readers.

Aah, what the heck. All those viper guys have old, burnt out, cynical stand up comics as 'staff writers' anyhow.
