I read somewhere on the forum about a new and improved Goodyear runflat. Sent an e mail to customer relations at goodyear.com and the following is their response. If there is interest in an improved runflat for a C5 perhaps other forum members could send an e mail to goodyear. Can't hurt and only takes a minute.
"Thank you for contacting our web site and for your interest in Goodyear tires. We are looking at the possibility of bringing out the
older C5 tires in the C6 designs: but at this point no decision has been made.
Thank you for your thoughtful e-mail. I have forwarded it to our high performance tire department. We appreciate the feedback."
I'd be all over those. The C6 has a nice ride to it and I bet a lot has to do with the improved tire technology. It seems to me it should be a no brainer for GY. With all of these C5's on the road and all of these complaints about the stock run flat.....they'd make a fortune.

I was wondering about this, too, when I first heard about the new GY runflats. I just assumed that GY would make them for C5s, too, since there are so many on the road. Guess I assumed wrong. Probably wouldn't hurt for people to contact GY about this.
Hey Goodyear, while you guys are sitting on your a$$ trying to decide what to do, your customers are buying from your competitors. Do some marketing research and wise up already.

Does anybody really believe that these major companies ever actually listen to what the customers want?
Seems to me that of all the employees that work for them, they could hire at least one to monitor car enthusiast forums such as this one and "feel the pulse" of thousands of performance car owning, tire-buying consumers.
someone here recently stated that the new EMT's are 100 mile (flat) tires. The first design was a 200 mile RF rating.
Tim I gave out all the info on the New Gen II EMT's from Goodyear here on the forum about 6 months ago... including the fact that they are 100 run flat now... that's how they were able to do what they have done with respect to performance and noise...I also at that time posted the fact that they will offer two different tire compounds.. Performance and touring.. and what car's ( C6 ) will get with what options..and I also stated that they had no plans to make the Gen II tires in C5 sizes.....I also checked my inside source about 6 weeks ago and their position is still the same.. on the C5 sizes... I still expect that will change, once they get the demand down from other auto manufacturers.
