I am looking to buy a factory Z06 h-pipe with the high flow cats from a 2002 to 2004 car. A friend of mine in Toronto has a set but they have the pup cats in addition to the regular cats. Are the cats on the 2001 with pup cats high flow like the 2002 to 2004 cars? If I make a change on my C5 to match the Ti's I will be installing in the spring, I might be better off finding someone who is willing to sell me there 2002 to 2004 h-pipe and cat set-up.
It sounds like you are going to change your standard C5 cat back exhaust to a Z06 Ti. That's a very reasonable move especially if the price is right. They flow better, a whole lot lighter and do sound better than the standard C5 cat back. What is your reason to change the h-pipe and cats? If it is to gain performance, I doubt you will see much if any gains in that. Remember only the cat back system is Ti on a Z06.

Don't waste your time with that... if you can find it used then ok, but from GM it's over $1000 for the '02+ center section w/ two cats. Get some nice LT headers w/ cats!
I already have Ti's I got off of a 800 km car and was thinking of doing the whole system for better sound and performance. Now that I have this feedback, I think I will just bolt them on and enjoy. I would like to do the headers but am not sure if it will really be loud? Does anyone else have a vert with the headers, stock h-pipe and Ti's? If so, how loud is it and do you get a drone at hiway speeds.
Headers will not make it loud, mostly a deeper sound. For a period of time I ran long tube headers, h-pipe and x-pipe with the stock Ti exahust on my 01 Z06 and it was not loud, especially when cruising. Only when I got the RPM above 3,000 did it get a little louder. Even when I replaced the Ti system with the Borla stingers it was not loud at cruising speed but it does get pretty healthy sounding when I get into the 3,000 RPM range and higher. It's not real "stealthy" then.
If you do go with a good long tube system, I would suggest a full system that provides cats. You will notice the performance when going with a good system like LGs. You can probably pick up some where around 25 rwhp with a good set of long tubes.
