pulling carpet
Been following the trials and tribulations of EnglandGreen sound proofing before stereo install thread (thanks for the details EG) and it got me to wondering what was involved to remove the carpet and reinstall? Is it glued or what?
very simple, pull off the rocker trims, remove the dead pedal and gas pedal stop, remove the seats of course, then just pull them out slowly, careful on the pass side not to break that little vent on the trans tunnel. It's very simple, email me if you have any questions...
The whole interior is easy to take out, just take your time. If something is hanging up when you pull on it, stop and figure out what is hanging up before tuging on it more - that is when stuff breaks. I insulated the front and rear of my coupe with no problems, just start in the morning and plan to do it all day. The only thing that was broken on mine was my pass. sun visor, when a friend who was helping me was putting the seat back in. He didn't realize he was pushing against the visor with the seat and broke it- wouldn't have happened if he was paying attention.
You should be happy with the results, just take your time.

thanks everyone. sounds too easy to be true. Guess I'll have to bite the bullit and try this next time the rainy season sets in. Weather is too nice not to drive right now.

I removed all carpet, seats, center console, & trim to install Dynomat Extreme. Also removed door panels and dynomatted the doors.
Everything combined made a huge improvement in interior sound quality of car.
