Default power outlet not working

I was attempting to hook up an XM Roady2 satellite to my 98' by going through the center arm rest power location. For some reason, it won't work. The power outlet by the ash tray works fine. I checked to make sure the cables were plugged in to the back of the outlet and they are. Does anyone have any ideas? Is there a fuse that controls this secondary power outlet?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Fuse 1, I/P fuse block controls only the console accessory plug.

I had the same problem and replaced the fuse and it worked fine. I did clean out the recepticle first as I don't think the prior owner ever used it at all. Rubber cap was off and it was full of "belly button lint."

Thanks for the quick replies. This might be stupid question, but where is the I/P fuse block? I know there is a fuse block near the battery. Is there one in the foot well passenger side?

Thanks again

Yes, you will see a pair of latches on either side of the foot rest - open them, remove the foot rest and you'll see the fuse panel

Thanks everyone! That really helped. I will be taking a look at that and see if the fuse is blown.

Thanks again

That fuse was blown. Replaced the 20amp fuse and the power works great! Thanks again.
