I wave regardless of the year, make or model vette. If they don't wave I don't throw a fit over it.

I was recently at a Motercycle shop that specialized in Dirt Bikes and ATV's...one of the sales guys had a new 04 Z06...absolutely beautiful car...he was younger late 20's...so I got to talking about Vettes (seeing my red 97 out front) I asked him if he got many waves as he drove around...he said yes... WTF is up with that...in horror
I said its like a brotherhood (sisterhood too I guess) where you wave to another Vette showing you are both loving a great American 
sportscar...you know- you have something in common...
He looked at me with a straight face and said "That is the stupidest thing I have heard", he continued to go on... "I bought this car because it was faster then my WRX" needless to say...to some people...it is just a fast car not a tradition!

...I will agree that most hardcore enthusiasts are top notch (ie. the ones that race and hang out on the boards) but unfortunately most Corvette owners have done little to improve the cars performance and use it to pose.
