You have what we call the rocking seat - and it is common, but I wouldn't call it normal. There are folks that will rebuild the seat track assembly for you, and there are also instructions floating around the web on how to DIY. While we're at it you don't have the original battery do you?

I found an easier way to fix it though.
I just bought new seats!

Over time, the seats tend to develop a rocking motion to them. See kenrobb's link to a potential fix.
