I'm going to get a Valentine 1 in a month or so and I was wondering how hard it is to wire it up so I don't have the wire hanging in the cig lighter all the time. Also does anyone have pics of there's. It's a 04. Thanks
Thanks still seems kind of hard. I'm just afraid of messing something up. How much do you think it would cost to pay someone?
Paid a local stero shop $15 -- took em 5 minutes... Money well spent so I didn't have to hassle with it, and if they'd screwed it up, they're liable... I'm a DIY guy 99% of the time. This was the 1% for me...
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone. I just ordered the Power Cord.
Does anyone have pic of theres mounted? Also ZMAN3 does it fit snug or when you hit bumps does it rattle around???

I assume you're talking about the mirror mount and not the power cord.
I have heard positive reviews of the mirror mount but since I am in Minnesota I have not driven mine yet with the V1 mounted. That's still probably a month away. The bracket itself seems pretty sturdy so it will be a function of how well it mounts to the mirror. I am going to try something recommended by someone else here on the forum, sorry I can't find the thread to give proper credit. I have used wire ties to mount the bracket initially. I like that better than glueing it like they recommend. If the wire ties do not hold it firm enough I will then glue it in place.
There was a thread about a month or so back with posted pictures but I'll be damned if I can find it. The topic dealt with there being no power to the detector due to the drivers door being open. Search was of NO help whatsoever.
The mount for the V1 is the best made. It's very stable because of the way it holds the unit. I have a Bel985 in my Jeep and it bounces around like crazy because it's held in the back of the unit.

That was ME! And I can't find the thread either And the pics are on my other computer at home. Anyway, the mount is VERY stable with no rattles, and I installed it with a black zip tie, no glue as recommended. Make sure you have your door closed when you fire up the power to test it...
