The other day I was out driving around in my Millenium Yellow Z06, and some guy with a Mag Red coupe, with his top off pulls up next to me at a light. My car was a little dirty with all the recent weather we've had, I glanced over to see if he would acknowledge me, but he was glaring at my dirty vette, (sure I was little embarassed, but it is my daily driver) he yelled out something like "nice weather", I guess he thought I should of drove home and washed it up...it just urked me that some guys can't seem to enjoy driving there vettes around, but think they have to be immaculate all the time. I enjoy driving my car...I didn't even bother to wave, he seemed like a snob

Well I can take this two ways, In that you have been looked upon as not worthy by a MAG. RED. COUPE with no roof on, or that you have decided to let this bother you to the extent that you have created another thread just to amuse yourself, to bad it bothered you that much. Unfortunatly I live right by a so called pretigious area where there are plenty of these types of characters. But last time I checked, they didnt have a secret way to put their pants on. So if you feel the need to have a little fun at my cost, fine, go ahead. I just dont care for arrogant, self righteous SOB's that think that they are a gift to the world. All right Scratch... You got me, And some others also. But what I said about SOB's is still the same.

Andy - yeah he got you....he was just funnin with ya'! All kidding aside, yoou can encounter A$$holes at every turn in every walk of life, driving any kind of car imaginable - including Corvettes!
Remember that there were almost a 1/4 of a million C5's made, and another 1.1 million or so Corvettes before the C5. Not everyone who owns these cars is a part of the brother/sisterhood by their choice. Believe it or not - some of them just drive the car cause they wanted a fast car or a cool car - or whatever their reason was.
I happen to know Scratch personally - he is one of the most **** Corvette owners on the planet! He actually polished his rear suspension and part of the under carriage - no $hit! Tony is a great guy with a very clever sense of humor.
He made a joke at your expense, we all got a laugh - and let's move on. One thing I found on this Forum in about a year and a half - if your skin is thin, you're gonna get your feelings hurt here.
Personally I wave at all other Corvettes - if they don't wave back, oh well - their loss.

BTW Tony, did you use Zaino or NXT on the rear suspension? I'm doing mine this weekend!
Rear suspension polishing guide/ begin with 3M surface conditioning discs using a air grinder tool, sand down with finer various grades of sandpaper, high speed buffer and green rouge compound, maintained with Mothers Alum. polish, will leave a nice finish like this
