No problems with the cops or inspection people here, but then again, we don't have a strict inspection program. I would imagine that the cops would be interested if the car was extremely loud.
As long as you are not violating any noise ordinance, I don't see how they could take issue with a catback.
Back when I lived in MA, they used to stop us on our bikes and check for straight pipes. Since they lacked decibel meters, they used to just insert their night stick in the exhaust. If they struck any kind of obstruction, they would let us go. Some guys used to insert chicken wire just for that purpose.
A cat back shouldn't be a problem. If you concerned just make sure the engine is fully warmed up before you go in. That should get the system up to temp so that emissions are taken care of.
The Corsa system is GM approved and sold by GM dealers so in essence it's a factory option. Can't see why other aftermarket systems would be any different. As long as the cats are in place/functioning the emissions are unchanged.
