C5 nitro r/c car
My son got a radio controlled nitro street car for Christmas. It came with a Porsche 911 GT body. He's had a blast with it since. Here's the original...
Anyway, we were in the hobby shop the other day and he said he wanted a Corvette body for it. I was surprised that we found one much less that it was a C5. I asked him what color he wanted to paint it and surprise! He said black.
That's my boy! 
So we picked up a can of black spray paint, took it home and he went to work on it. Here's the results...
He got the wheels for Christmas as well. Pretty similar to the stock C5 thin spokes...
The little bar hanging out the back end is plugging the fuel line. Oh, and all of these r/c bodies come with a wing. We had to mount it otherwise there would have been two silly looking posts on the trunk. Please forgive us...
While we were in the process of painting the inside, the outside was very dull and my son was very concerned with this fact. I reassured him that once we removed the plastic protective coating that it would shine like glass. And so it does...
And finally, here's a shot of the rear. Not exactly the same as the real thing but close. My son wanted to leave alll of the light stickers off so it would look blacked out (like Dad's
) but together we decided that it looked better with the lights stickers on...

Dude.......that is SWEET! My son has a Nitro RC car too and I know I'd........errr..........HE'D love a C5 body for it too!
