Just got my C5 and all is fine. However, should I do the CLB before
the dealer does the recall or after? I know the DMV will send me a letter
asking me to do that recall.

Agaain, being relatively new here I have determined this has something to do with steering column lock up. What does CLB stand for? Does it affect all C5's or just a particular year. I have not received any recall notice. And from what I can gather, most in this forum are against the dealer performing the proper recall right?

Alright I will get in before the 
CLB - Column Lock Bypass.
1. do you have a A4 or MN6.
2. Either way have the dealer do the recall (unless you have an edit tune then you will lose that)
3. If you have an A4 then you are done - dont worry about it.
4. If you have MN6 then you should add the CLB because the recall fails to fix the problem with the MN6.
5. The cost is about $50.00 and you can install it yourself in less than 1 hour.
