I have the SuperMaxx on my 2004 C5 and have an extra X pipe
The system is great. I had it installed at the same time as I replaced the stock mufflers with the Magnaflow system.
These 2 modifications transformed the whole car. It now goes and sounds like what I was dreaming about when I decided to buy the car new. One way I can feel the difference by the amount I am being pushed back into the seat!
I had them ceramic coated prior to installation too.
The system installed with no problems. One issue was easily taken care of: I believe it was the A.I.R. sensor on the passenger side had to be connected with a 2" piece of high temp hose. That was the extent of any issues.
I was impressed by the quality of all the components of both the SuperMaxx and Magnaflow systems. I will use this same combination on any new performance vehicle I buy.
I have a SuperMaxx X-pipe leftover from a previous purchase that I did not use. It is brand new and for sale. $195 plus shipping from 40222 zip code. Compare that to the price of one from a vendor.
This would be a good choice for buyers on a smaller budget or wanted to the mods in stages.
Thanks for the info..I wonder if there is a set of headers out there that come coated already..I think that normally cost an extra c-note or 2 to get them coated.,but the sure do look purty after

could be wrong but I think the coating from jet hot costs well under a grand http://www.jet-hot.com/
I just installed a set along with Vararam and Magnaflow catback. Great product at a reasonable price. Don't want to kickoff another Dynatech/LGM debate but I went from 308 baseline hp to 346 and baseline torque of 327 ft-lbs to 367. was very pleased and can't say enough abot the new repsonse of the car.
As far as best price, FLP is running a sale at $1375 (see link below). Just a note, if installing system in a 2004, will have to buy additional O2 sensor extensions with square connector. Additional $50 unless you can
negotiate!
I just got mine from www.rpmoutlet.com I paid 1295.00 but I think they have gone up since then. SOTP is great. Going to dyno in a few weeks. Will let you al know results.
