Default Lower Rear-End Only

Hey Guys, First Post ....

Own a 2000 Vert, and i am just in the process of painting the calipers.

While I have the wheels off im going to lowering the car. I find that my front spolier scraps quite a bit and worried about it. The rear looks high and want to get it down a bit.

Has anyone lowered just the rear-end and not the front?

This is my second vette, my first was a '93 40th Ann. Edition coupe and I wanna thank this forum for pushing me over the edge on both purchases and emptying my wallet

You can do that no problem although most people like to do both. If you lower just the rear once you step back you may not like the rake angle, but it's all personal preference. Lowering the rear is the easiest part, just don't cut the bushings like some do. If you want to go lower then stock just order a set of 8" bolts. The longer bolt will let you lower the rear without cutting the bushings. Take a look at my sig, that's lowered on 8" bolts in the rear. Have fun, good luck!

The rear has already been lowered with 2 threads showing on the bolts. Im sure im gonna have to wait for it to settle but since I live in the North Pole it seems, im gonna have to wait to drive it.

Will it settle without driving it ?

If I lower the front, any suggestions on getting out of the driveway ... no matter which angle I go in/out at the front spoiler always seems to scrape...

Welcome to the forum. Sure you can just lower the rear, but it may not look quite right.
