Z06 wheel question

Is there a difference in the wheels from 2002 to 2004. I mean the color of the gunmetal grey wheels. Are 02 to 04 Z wheels all the same shade of grey? Thx

You probably already know about the forged vs. spuncast, Alcoa vs. Speedline, right?? Z06s from 2001-2002 had the Alcoas, 2002-2004 used Speedline. The factory used the Alcoas for a brief time during the 2002 model year, until they switched to the Speedlines.

Color. Well, some have said the Alcoa wheels are darker in color than the Speedline wheels. I've used touchup paint on my Speedline wheels that was first posted during the time that only the Alcoa wheels were produced, and I cannot see any difference in color. Perfect match to my eyes.

Since two different wheel manufacturers produced the Z06 wheel, it still could be the same paint color, but look slightly different on the OEM wheel.
