I'd say go for it!

However, I like my VORTEK Intake (CLEAR) and I can thank one of the members that sold it to me (brand new) for well under the retail price when I first bought my vette!

I don't think you can go wrong with it at all.

It would be another good step in opening up the air passages in the car. As long as you don't mind the extra work to put it on, then go for it.

Default To Vararam or not to Vararam... that is the question

Check out these threads on the debate and actual track test of the Vararam.

Actual test

I personally opted for the Vararam because of its design and direct flow of outside air into the engine. Cold air means greater HP! Ram Air is the topic of a major debate!

Good luck on your choice. PS I had my Tuner install at $100.

i never could understand what is so hard to believe about the VARARAM?!?!? im no engineer, but its common sense.

hhmmm... lets see... would i rather keep the filter on top of the engine and suck up all the hot air the engine is putting off, or would i rather suck in all the cool fresh air from the outside??!?! its a no brainer.

i doubt you are going to dyno much higher with a VARARAM over another brand intake, but it will def. out perform the others.

this topic always brings up a debate! those who are against the VARARAM just dont feel like paying the extra money, then try to justify the fact that brand "X" is just as good but for a lot less money! same exact thing with buying LG headers!

interesting how i have both, and am trapping 115mph compared to the 108-109 stock!! id say 7mph gain is nice for the mods!

buy the best, enjoy it. dont let anyone tell you different!
