IMO, you won't find a better fitting hood than the Motor City Mold one. Great looks and hardly any prep needed for painting.

The Motor City hood I got from Ken at Vette Essentials (SAME price as direct from MCM, BUT you get to support a vendor) was EXCELLANT. My painter said it was the BEST aftermarket piece he has ever seen - it required minimal preperation - it did not even need block sanding. The hood looks flat out mean as well

I've had both the RK Sport and MCM. The MCM was by far the easiest to prep and paint. The fit was great also

MCM's hood is hands down the best looking hood out there IMO..

MCM. I've done my share of looking around as well. I'll be going with MCM asap. I'm also planning on getting a super charger, and the MCM (newer version) will supoort a SC. Plan now ...don't go back and correct mistakes ($$$$) later.

Could some body post a pic of the MCM hood from the drivers seat. I would like to see how high the rise is.
Thanks,
Bob

Stuart sweet Vette, and thanks for the pic. Is the rise about 3" on the MCM hood?

thanks...its actually lower than the RK or Ecklers Hi-Rise Hoods...
it just extends farther forward at this height...
The bubble is broadened to make the rise more subtle...
