How do you get the rear carpet out of a coupe. I can't seem to even get the things that hold the top loose.
I have run across a new product that not only will quite the car but is heat resistant to 3000 degrees and very easy to work with.
And best of all not expensive.
But first I got to get the dang carpet out !!
Thanks for the help. I will share my results and the cost of the project.

The best I can remember, the plastic pieces that hold the top just twist off (at least on a 98), but it's been a couple years since I pulled everything out and put in amps/subs.
I'm sure someone else will chime it and let you know the specifics.

Instructions, with pictures, for removing the top holders are just over half way down.
Basically, do a quarter turn CCW and lift; then pry out the retaining ring.
There are a couple of plastic wing nuts on either side near the rear corners. Removing them is just like any other wing nut ... just spin off. Getting them back on with the insulation and carpet is another matter entirely.

I followed these instructions and they work...should have no problem.
