Default C6 Wheels

Does anyone know if OE - C6 wheels & tires are direct bolt on for a C5 as well?

The feedback from guys that have done it is yes. However, you will need small hub-centric spacers in the rear, to retain C5 stock-like offset.

That's what I have heard too. The wheels look good on the C5.

After reading C6 general, I've come to the conclusion that the C5 is not worthy of C6 wheels. Apparently if you put the wheels on, the headlights will pop up and will permanently be stuck in that position. Your call

I heard that if you install the C6 wheels/tires on a C5, the harmonic balancer will spin off the crankshaft.

In the immortal words of John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band, in the movie "Eddie and the Cruisers":
The dark side's callin' now, nothin' is real
She'll never know just how I feel
From out of the shadows she walks like a dream
Makes me feel crazy, makes me feel so mean

Ain't nothin' gonna save you from a love that's blind
When you slip to the dark side you cross that line
On the dark side, oh yeah
On the dark side, oh yeah
Stay away from the dark side (C6 General), Luke.

C-6 bashing?

FYI - a number of the reproduction vendors are coming out with C-6 wheels in standard C-5 sizes and fitment.

No, not really. C5 General is often the same way.

Not only that, but it will cause irreparable harm to the time-space continuum!

P.S. RCK1999, see what I mean about C5 General being the same way?

What I would like to see is the aftermarket to produce the C6 wheel in the 18"/19" X C6 widths but with the offsets to allow proper fitting on the C5 without the need for spacers. That way we could run the "new and improved" 2nd gen GY runflats that are on the C6, both versions(Z51 or std).
