Default DynaTech Headers vs FLP

Yes I know, another Header thread but in reading all these threads, I was researching the websites of these 2 in particular.

Dynatech and FLP LT's are virtually the same price, however, with the FLP's they come ceramic coated, and come with interchangble mid-pipes so you can interchange from Cats to no cats.

Does anyone know the difference? The price is the same, but it seems you get more bang for buck with the FLP's

Maybe more HP gain with one or the other? (yea I know can of worms)

please comment
Thanks

The Dynatechs are Stainless Steel. All the way back. The FLPs are mild steel and ceramic coated.

Mild steel is more prone to rust.

I had FLPs on my SS and they had some rust where they hung down below the rest of the car. Probably sand and debris had deteriorated the coating just enough for rust to get in there. I loved the ability to put the OR pipes in, but in the two years I had them, I only did that for two car shows and one club meeting. But that combined with the GM hotcam and the car sounded incredible (but not tolerable). Also, with all of the “adjustability” of the FLPs, I had problems with exhaust leaks where the pipes would meet and the flanges were a pain to try and line-up. I would say to go with the Dynatech’s.

Thanks for the info folks I think I have made my mind up to go with the Dynatechs.

Anyone interested in starting a Group Purchase for Dynatech Headers? I don't know how to set one up, plus I am at work and can't monitor the thread all day..

Let me know

The FLP's are GREAT quality with a lifetime warranty - THEY are the way to go. After two years of running - mine look BRAND NEW. Stainless headers turn ugly FAST. Also the clamps on the FLP products are the groove type - That is a first rate product

Also the coated headers greatly reduce heat in the engine compartment and around the starter
