LS6 Valvetrain noise?

I have an '02 Z06 with 30K miles.

I recently noticed that when the engine is warm, I can hear some valvetrain noise for a few seconds after I start the engine. Just a faint "tick.. tick.. tick.." noise.

I don't hear it when the engine is cold, and I don't hear it after it has been running for a few seconds.

I'm not too worried because it's a very minor noise and it goes away. But I am curious if this is a known thing. My Z is due for an oil change (I use the % oil life remaining DIC "trip" menu as my guide), maybe that has something to do with it??

I get a little noise also. I think this is normal and nothing to be concerned with. Others?

The valve train noise you describe is characteristic of the LS6 engine. Nothing to worry about.
