I changed my battery with an OPTIMA. The car seems to run fine. Ever since I fired up my car... I have "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" & "SERVICE ABS" error msgs on my DIC. Any reasons for this? I am pretty sure these are false codes. Any way to clear them?
So I checked the codes and cleared most of the old ones. The above msgs are still being displayed. One message that could not be reset was... "28-TCS C1255 C". (C1255 EBTCM Internal Malfunction)
Hmmm...some codes will go from C to H after so many ignition cycles...the car may have not "learned" the problem is non-existent yet...I suppose you could ignore it for a few days and see if it goes away...
Leave it for a day or two and if it doesn't go away disconnect the battery for 5 or 10 minutes and reconnect and see if that gets rid of it. Or if anyone else has any ideas please chime in. Keep us posted. At least your up and running
