I had yet another accident...
On Friday afternoon, I finally got my car back after the body shop manager spent about one hour in my presence to better align the lid of the right headlight. He demonstrated to me that a further adjustment just my moving the whole headlight in its mounting slots was not possible. Finally, he was able to get some improvement by using slotted pieces of sheet metal. In the end, I thought that the front alignment was not as good as it was before the accident, but still not terrible and that further improvement would require some adjustment to the steel bases of the various mounts. I also discovered some slight circular scratches on the newly painted body parts (that the manager called “angle hair”) and that we probably due to the polishing of the guy who finally detailed the car. I said to myself, what the heck, since there were deeper circular scratches at the back of the car anyway, and I was looking for a joyful weekend in the car.
But then it happened... I was driving with a date on Saturday night through Raleigh, NC. In the middle of a wide intersection, I had solid green, I heard my date scream something and I saw a grey car in front of me without a chance to do anything to avoid a collision.
Fortunately, the collision felt relatively soft and neither my date nor me felt any pain or even discomfort. This time the damage to the front was much greater and the radiator was hit too. When I tried to drive the car to the side, the motor would stop. I did not notice any oil leak though.

The young woman who was driving the grey station wagon and who ignored the red light later told my date that she was distracted by the grief caused by the recent passing of her father and that she was cleaning the windshield.
This time, the damage to the front is much bigger and it might even be a total. Thus the bottom-line is, I was without my favorite toy for almost one month, I fought hard with my GM dealer to get a good repair, finally got the car back in a decent shape and wrecked it again already the next day. Am I doomed?

Glad your okay
. Hopefully, the repair process will go smoothly where you get her back on the road soon. Keep us posted. Good luck
Best of luck getting things back to normal.

Best of luck with it Rob...I'm not saying you're doomed though, just a run of bad luck. Glad everyone involved was okay, and (since you didn't mention it) I'll assume the woman has insurance, which seems to be really good news in this day and age.
I would say that, if it's totalled, just get whatever you want. If it's another Vette, go ahead and get one! I saw a C6 for the first time on the road last night, and it was gorgeous. When I (if I) ever have enough cash laying around, I might have to pick one of those up!

And, is it possible for me to carry you on a accident policy (JK)
