Default Automatic door locks

Hello, I have a 99FRC and I was curious if there was a way to have the door lock automatically when you start the car or when you go over a certain speed. I had this through my alarm on my old integra and it was pretty handy. Thankd

Check the manual, you can set for auto lock and auto unlock after you pull the key from ignition.

I did and there was an option for unlocking 1 or 2 doors with the passive transmitter, but nothing about locking them, unless I missed it.

From the Manual

Auto Lock
Press the OPTIONS button until AUTO LOCK appears
on the display, then use the RESET button to page
through the following choices:
• AUTO LOCK ON
• AUTO LOCK OFF
If you choose AUTO LOCK ON, both doors will
automatically lock when the vehicle exceeds 10 mph
(16 km/h) in a manual transmission. In a vehicle with an
automatic transmission, both doors will automatically
lock when you move the shift lever out of PARK (P).
Choose AUTO LOCK OFF to turn this option off.
Auto Unlock
The AUTO UNLOCK will be available only if AUTO
LOCK is set to ON as described previously.
Press the OPTIONS button until AUTO UNLOCK
appears on the display, then use the RESET button to
page through the following choices:
• AUTO UNLOCK DRIVER
• AUTO UNLOCK BOTH
• AUTO UNLOCK OFF
If you choose AUTO UNLOCK DRIVER, the driver’s
door will automatically unlock when you turn the vehicle
off and pull the key out of the ignition.
Choose AUTO UNLOCK BOTH, and both doors will
automatically unlock when you turn the vehicle off and
pull the key out of the ignition.
AUTO UNLOCK OFF turns off this option.
Easy Entry
The easy entry feature will only be available if the
vehicle is equipped with the memory option.
Press the OPTIONS button until SEAT EASY ENTRY
appears on the display, then use the RESET button
to page through the following choices:
• SEAT EASY ENTRY ON
• SEAT EASY ENTRY OFF
If you choose SEAT EASY ENTRY ON, when you turn
the ignition off and remove the key, the seat will
automatically move back and the telescopic steering
wheel (if equipped) will return to its full-forward position
for an easy exit or an easy entrance when returning
to the vehicle.
The seat will only return to the forward position if you
unlock the door with the keyless entry transmitter
or press the appropriate MEMORY button.
SEAT EASY ENTRY OFF turns off this option.

The DIC has an option on it to enable the auto door locks. The owners manual should tell you how to do it.

I turned the auto-lock off and my doors still lock when I turn the ignition on. Any idea what I need to do to stop this from happening?

Hmmm, my car does not lock until I get up to about 12 mph.
Maybe you have window valet ...

No window valet. could be the after-market alarm system. locks when ignition is turned on (b4 car is even started). just a matter of time before the keys get locked in the car.

Default still not working

Okay I looked through the service manual and tried to do as others posted but the problems is that when i scroll the DIC options all I get to choose from are these, LOCK & ARM (horn only, lights only, and horn and lights), ALARM (horn, horn and lights), PASSIVE UNLOCK (drivers door, or both), APPROACH LIGHTS (on, or off), LANGUAGE (english, french, german, spanish), and the blank space for FOB training. I never see anything regarding AUTO LOCK OR AUTO UNLOCK. Does my car maybe not have this option. It is a 99frc with out memory seats or a hud.
