Z06 Air box

Can someone tell me if there is a difference between the '02 & '04 air box for the Z? Also, what air filters are you guys using? Thanks.

i know the '01's had the same air box, but the hole for the air to go through was considerably smaller....if i remember correctly, this changed in '02....someone will correct me if i'm wrong

as for air filters, K&N is the popular choice

you can either buy a direct replacement and do the zip tie mod, or you can get the conical air filter, remove the air box, and attach the filter directly to the MAF

I replaced the stock air box with a Blackwing. I haven,t had the chance to get the Z on a dyno yet.

2002-2004 Z06 air box is the same. The 2001 had the smaller opening.

Yep same. Go with the accell kool blue filter,fits like a glove and flows as well as any. Few $$ cheaper.
