ive got to go over a million speed bumps every day but i always creep over them at an angle, but recently ive noticed that the rear suspension (i think) squeaks random days while going over the bump.
its not a "problem" but as all of us corvette perfectionists, how do i get rid of this? Is it a sign that my shocks are on the way out? (ive got 54k miles on my 97 with all original equipment)
sway bar bushings... remove them clean them and silcone grease them..
Agree with E-T. Sway bar bushings are constantly in motion and the most probable cause. Did a quick Silicone spray on a mini-van prior to lease turn back to quiet the same symtoms. You might consider an upgrade to polyurethane bushings after you've lubed them and confirmed it is the source of the noise.
