Sometimes the connector itself gets corroded over time. You can find the ambient temp sensor under the front nose on the passenger side just in front of the radiator shroud. You can take a few of the screws holding the fascia to the shroud and possibly the closeout panel to the fascia to gain access to the connector to clean it out. Hopefully, that's all it is.

Thanks! I'm thinking this may be the problem, while it is not eroded, it may be unplugged, I though I'd get no reading if it was but maybe it is just stuck at the temp when it was disconnected. I recently installed a cam and I bet it is unplugged....

Usually, if it is unplugged, it will read -40 degrees F. Same sensor is used on dozens of other GM cars.
Upon further review I saw an unattached wire, came in and looked at his picture and wallah....it is 37 degrees in my garage! (according to the thermometer in my car!) I will miss 69 in my car, but it will be back....
