I like it. It makes a big difference over the stock air intake. I picked up about 17 rwhp on the dyno with it.

Really, seriously, surely, I am about to switch it out for a Vararam in an attempt to get as much performance as I can.

The first mod I did as recommended by a lot of friends here on the Forum. For the money, you can't beat it. Fairly easy install and you can just hear (and feel ) the improved airflow. I would recommend as I am sure many will here.

I like mine a lot more now that I installed my GHL bulletts.
The combination really has given me a lot more get up an go.

With stock exhaust there was some improvement, but not like now.
It's a nice system that is easy to install.

I have the Blackwing but you should have a non-stock exhaust system to fully enhance the air flow.

Have the exact same set-up with Blackwing and GHLs and now it feels and sounds like a Corvette should (at least a "street only" C5 like the way I use mine).

I have the Blackwing and GHL Bullets. I won't claim any HP improvements because I haven't dynoed it; I couldn't really feel any difference in the acceleration.
That said, I like the sound you get from a Blackwing (slight humming moan under WOT) and that much of a freer flowing filter definately can't hurt, especially if you have the regular coupe/vert filter setup.
You need to get the illustrious Performance Hood Seal if you install the Blackwing to keep water coming in the front edge of the hood and saturating it (It sits right under the seam).
It is an easy install, taking less than an hour, even if you go slow.
Overall, I would definately recommend it.

I have the Ghl bullets also, I didn't put the Blackwing on but the Halltech Stinger and what a improvement in sound quality the exhaust had. You'll be happy with either one.

I noticed a definite improvement in the performance of my car after the Blackwing install. Easy install and looks great under the hood.

Default blackwing

Installed the Donaldson Blackwing and could hear the increased air flow.
It seems to fit in well with the GHL exhaust. I had some burbling on
deceleration, so I added an X-pipe and it equallized the flow, and now
no burbling. Very satisfied with the Blackwing.

Blackwing kicks a$$. Combined with Stingers out back and you have a definite SOTP increase. It was an immediate PermaGrin(TM) moment.

I installed the Blackwing and a Borla Stinger exhaust within a few weeks of each other on my 00 coupe. My first impression is that the car felt a bit more peppier, but I chalked it up to my "excitement" of my Vette and the Borlas which are awesome, btw.
anyway, a few weeks ago, I drove my cousins bone stock 01 Vert and couldnt beleive how much slower it felt then my car. I think the verts might be heavier, but it really felt like the car wanted to be unleashed. I took my car out afterwards and the difference in responsiveness was like night & day.

Has anyone had any problems with the Blackwing with regards to the computer throwing codes?

It does that when the filter is over oiled and then the oil gets on the MAF sensor.
