Well I started out doing the CLB, but I needed to fix my E-brake handle so I removed the passenger seat and console. So I'm thinking to myself I might as well do the Reflectix thing since I had the console out. Went to Home Depot while there I saw some Frost King, so I guess I'm in for the full meal deal interior is coming out today. Last night I'm kind of forming a plan of attack, and I start staring at the shifter(not that happy with how it fits me). The point is now I can't seem to stop, is there some kind of intervention or help line for mod madness. PS where to buy E-brake assembly is it dealer only?
Planned on doing the Frost King, then thought, well while I have the seats out I may as well put new covers on them. Then thought, while I have the seats and carpet out might as well take the console out and do the reflectix. Then thought, that while the console is out I may as well go ahead and put a C6 shifter in. Then thought, well since I am changing the seats, I may as well change the coloring on the door panels and since I am doing that, may as well do the glove box and bolster. And since the console is out, might as well change the color on that too.
Crap. Might get to drive my car sometime next month.
I've heard very good results doing the FK mod. I know the first part of it I would like to do is the fender wells. They say that is were the majority of noise comes from. As yes, modding is hard to get out of your system. Nothing like doing a mod and then seeing the end result. How about some pics doing different stages of the FK.
Well, it isn't hard work but it does take alot of time. I have only done the front part I used two layers in some places that I could get away with it, used metal tape and Reflectix around the console area it doesn't have sticky backing. I think the back will be easier, find out tomorrow I used about two and a half rolls of FK so far. I even insulated behind the stereo, hell I'll probably cost myself a hunderdth in the 1/4 mile but I'll be cool and quieter.
