I remember when I was checking out my Vette before I bought it, I was trying to lift the console lid and it was difficult. I didn't want to break it before I even bought it, so the owner showed me how. Kind of funny now.

I had the same problem. It's quite the hinge. You'd think they could have made something a bit less complicated. But it's a Vette so let's blow the load on the console hinge.

There you go. Instead of figuring out how to properly open the lid and explaining it to you, they make up some lazy-azz excuse for it not "working right."
