If you "don't want to have to spend a ton in body shop fees to correct any alignment issues." then IMO go with the Motor City hood option(s).

From my view point, haveing had the opportunity to see many, many after market hoods being installed, prep'ed, painted and adjusted for fit, Motor City does it best,

The initial price may seem steep, but if another hood is used and the fit, finish and adjustments are necessary, then you may find that the oversll cost of this so called less expensive hood is just so much bs.

I've got the Motor City Mold hood and the fit and finish is just excellent. With the others, I have heard of the need for quite a bit of prep work to get it to fit just right.

To answer your original question, ACI products are outstanding. I had the ACI hood installed on my 02 about a year ago and the body shop insisted that it was one of the best fitting aftermod hoods they'ved installed. I love it personally. Looks like it came from the OEM.

I see a lot of guys are pushing the Motor City Hood. Nice but expensive in my book. Your choice of course, but if money is an issue, go with the ACI hood. With the money you save, surely there is another mod on your list that you'll be able to buy!! Good luck with your choice!!

I've had two different ACI hoods (currently the hi-rise) the first hood fit better than the hi-rise. A little sdjusting and it now looks great, took about 4-5 hours on it though!

I also have the ACI high rise hood. Painter said one of the best starting hoods he's seen. Little prep work was his comments.

Scratch, you need a new sig pic. Your car doesn't look like that anymore! It looks better! (LOL, like that was possible, but seriously, your car is smokin, so get to taking pics damn it!)

I personally would like to get the Hi-rise Hood from Motor City, but the ACI is a great price.

Pick up this month's "Vette" magazine. It has an article about installing the ACI hood and rear facia and what has to be done to make them look right!
