When I painted mine, I could not find a kit in Black, so I painted mine red. They look good if I say so myself, but the nicest ones I have seen on a M.Y. Vette is Black with the letters in Yellow.

Yellow with black letters if you want to show off. Black with yellow letters if you want to be subtle. Do NOT put red calipers on a yellow car. It looks terrible. Red letters on yellow calipers would induce vomitting instantly. Unless you are a McDonalds VP, red and yellow do NOT go together.

i have a yellow vert w/ red calps (from previous owner). i don't like them. they're peeling, so i'm going to re-paint them. i was set on navy blue or black... but then i bought some hre 540's, and i think a bit of red poking through the split-fork-bbs-style spokes might work the best... i'm a flip-flopper.

Default Here we go again..

I never get tired of seeing newly painted calipers. As I've posted a couple of times during the last few weeks, I did them with Rustoleum gloss black (for the surround area) and aluminum (for the caliper), while using the torch red touch up paint from the dealer for the letters.

Call me crazy, but while at a car show last year, I saw a bright yellow WRX Sti that had Corvette Electron Blue calipers and it looked awesome!!!

I am looking to do my calipers this spring as well, so keep showing the yellows!!

If it was mine, I'd go with black and yellow letters.

You know.. Gunmetal HRE-C's and a rear brembo kit would really make that car stand out Ill have your info on the 6 Pistons on monday.

I was going to suggest black, with yellow or silver lettering, but after seeing all the pics, I like the grey with yellow lettering.

I've got an `03 MY convertible and did the body of my calipers yellow and the little bracket thing red, and then polished the Corvette lettering with my Dremel tool. I think they look good (duh) and get lots of comments.

Hey Yellohhh, you say your paint guy shot them in MY? With regular paint? I've not been willing to do that because of the heat. Where do you live, how long have you had it and have you noticed any problems? (Meaning have you really heated them up a bunch of times and id the paint taking the abuse?)
