XM/Sirrius Installations

I did drill a hole to allow the antenna cable to enter the rear hatch area. I also did the Dynamat Extreme install at the same time to make the most out of the hidden wire installation process.

I get occasional, transient drop-outs with the antenna mounted inside the rear fascia, but minimal. Nice invisible install.
Good luck...the XM is great (IMHO).
Looking forward to MLB this season on XM.
The StarMate is about the size of a pack of smokes, but that is the entire unit, no other unit is hidden under the seat or anything.
I have a small support that comes up from the right side of the console. I used this for my MP3 player, and it works great.
I did not want to cut my power cord up, so i used a couple of compression splicers (you just press it together with a pair of pliers, no cutting) to install a third power plug that I keep inside the console itself with the power adapter plugged in to it. I tapped the existing power plug inside the console cover. It worked out better than I had hoped.
I put the new, tiny antenna on my dash up by the passenger corner and hid the wire. The only thing showing is the actual antenna nub. I get 100% reception and it did not drop out on me even one time yesterday on the test drive.
I also tie the sound in to the PIE connector that plugs in to the CD-Changer plug. I also had this from the MP3 player already installed. I will post a better right-up when i take some photos

basicaly the same as the XM commander.

Receiver in center rear storage compartment.

the antenna is mounted under the rear fascia (like others have done with their XM antennas) on top of the right tailight opening with double sided tape.
