pulling the engine - need help
I am allmost ready to pull the engine. My question is, where do I bolt the chain to pull the engine using the engine hoist?
20 years ago, Iwe used the manifold bolts...don't think it will work with these

I'm sorry guys, but i know they've come out the top before, you're right coming out the bottom is easiest when done on a lift, however i know of a few back yard mechanics who have pulled the motor out the top.

Manifold/headers
When you take the manifolds or headers out, use the same bolts and the chain goes where the those bolts bolt in.
Mine came out from the top with out removing hood, just got to be careful.

You didn't take the hood off?
I assume you have the heads, manifold, waterpump (bare block) when you pulled it and bolted eveything back on after the install?
I can see liifting the block only using the manifold bolts since it should weigh much less minus everything else...
