Default Admitting stupidity

When you paint the covers of the engine when doing a dressup/detailing procedure how are the letters and stripes made to show up well----hand reoutline-if you're a brain surgeon- tape ----HOW?

I did this not too long ago .. i spent about three weeks total doing it (off and on).



I sprayed the one color let it dry really well and then spent one day taping off the entire letters, then used a new exacto blade to cut off the excess .. and then sprayed my top layer ....

you can do the same thing, spray whatever you want the letters to be as the base .. then after letting them dry a good 24 hrs .. tape them off and spray your top coat. let that dry (pref. in the sun) for a good 24-48 hours then pick up your letters

fyi: I bought the letters to begin with and they started pealing / bubbling after not even 2 months.

Checkout Ebay in the car parts section,C5 Corvette,decals. There's a guy there that sells sets for letters and stripes.
