Could be a damaged sensor or the battery could be going out. Unless you know how to get the sensor apart, you just have to replace the whole unit. There is a forum member here that does refurbish the sensors at a price cheaper than buying them new. A search may turn up his name.
The batteries in the sensors are not intended to be replaced. They are permanently sealed. There is one company that can rebuild them (I think they are called "Nericreations" for about $50). There is also a recent thread about one member's attends to replace batteries. He had about a 70% success rate after practice. You have to break the case to get to the "innerds".
More bad news, they are expensive to replace (I think somewhere around $90 per sensor for your model).
Unfortunately your best bet is to replace it if you can't get it to re-train.
PS - life expectency for the sensors is 5-7 years, so you are reaching the end.
