Hi, welcome.
I can't help you with the bulb in the door but some forum members have experiance changing them, hopefully one of them will read your post.
As far as the speakers which are you looking to replace? You have an 8" and a 3 1/2 in the door and a 6 1/2 in the back pillar if you have a coupe. Not sure what a FRC, Z06 or Vert have in back. Look Forums, General, audio for more information.
I am also looking to improve the Stock stereo and have come to the conclusion that it is best to take it all out, JMO. After market speakers do not work so well with the factory stereo so I will take it all out and start from scratch.

Hope this helps,

Darion

welcome to the forum that is a awsome car you picked up, as far as the bulb replacement goes theres a few way to do it 1) slide the front break duct out of the way and slide your hand in the hole (its a tight fit) turn the bulb housing left if you where looking from the back of the car and change out the bulb. 2) ive heard of turning on the driving light and going in that way or 3) roll the front end up on some ramps and remove the plastice cover from the bottom of the car right below the drl area just a few srews youll know what im talking about, once removed its easy access to the bulb, as far as the speakers ive bought gm wire harness to adapt the speaker wires for the rear to the aftermarket speakers, crutchfields includes them when you buy speakers from them, if you go that route. as far as the front speakers im not to sure but i think you have to replace the head unit too since the fronts have there own amps, im sure the audio section will be a big help.
