Borla XR1 vs. STINGER
Which is louder and how bad is the resonance? I had some duel tip stingers and they were loud but bearable (for me anyways) but there was some resonance at about 1600 rpm's.

I had the XR-1 on my car and it was loud..and I have a friend who's got the Stingers..the XR1 was louder and had more resonance than the Stingers. The XR1 has just one chamber/Muffler, welding/cutting is required to hook this system up..it is not bolt-on like the Stingers.

good point also about which car you have an A4 or MN6 that will effect resonance.

I have the XR1 and I dont think its that loud, my friend has Borla on his T/A and it is way louder.
The XR1 system is a little loud at the start but as the rpm goes up the sound drops off.
I have an 01 Vert and there is ressonece from about 1800 to 2300 rpm
you know crusing speeds.
Sometimes it gets anoying but its ok.
