Default Drill Mod

I have seen a few posts referencing the "Drill Mod" in regards to a possible fix for the clutch peddle sticking to the floor during hard acceleration. I have searched the forum for some explanation but haven't had any luck. Can someone please post or reply on what is involved? I have been experiencing some intermittent problems with my peddle and I'm trying to find a fix that will get me by until I have a chance to replace my clutch and associated problematic components.

I have seen this talked about and it seems that the clutch master cylinder is worked on. If you don't get the answer here try looking on a F-body site.

Unfortunately, once the Z06 clutch pedal begins to act up, a complete new clutch/master/slave is the only real cure.

In the meantime, don't bother with the "drill mod" because it doesn't seem to make much difference on the Z06.

One thing you can do as a temporary measure is to have the clutch bled with new fluid. Then, refrain from launches.

Here is a link to a long-surviving thread with many, many conflicting points of view; but it is worth reading in detail.

Mcleod now has a upsized braided line kit for the ls6. It was in the April super Chevy rag, however, it's not on web link that I could find. E-mailed them and am waiting for reply/info.
