Painting it is easy, although I've not heard of anyone doing it. Sand it smooth and let the spray fly.
My only concern would be the paint would likely wear off where it contacts the hoodliner. I had one, and it rubbed the liner bad.
The only "customized" Halltech bridge I've seen is GB Vette's, who sent his in to be chrome-plated.
