installing a thermostat??
I have changed thermostats on Chevy's before and it is very easy, I know but is there anything special I need to do on the LS1?
How about loss of coolant, will I have to replace some coolant and where is the thermo actually located? I am assuming in the normal place but I'm not sure, thanks.

The thermo is right up front, It is the whole housing that needs to be changed. Just fill the coolant over flow bottle back to the full level later.

Easy job, just two bolts and an O-ring gasket. You have to change the whole housing as the stat is part of it. If your Evil-Twin, you can do it with very little coolant loss. I did it an lost about a gallon.
