I put mine on Sunday. I used rubbing alcohol. You should put it on lightly and step back to make sure it's square. If not, pull it off and realign it. It took me three trys until I was satisfied. Once it's straight press it on harder.

Clean the area very well with alcohol and let it dry. Then just stick it on with the double sided tape it came with. If it did not use a 3M double sided rubber tape, not foam. Foam will get wet and tear.

i knew i shoulda came back and checked in with you guys...i was going to do the double sided tape but the guy at the hardware shop said it would most likely fall off and said use EPOXY it'll work great and never come off...so me being the idiot i am...i went ahead and epoxyed it down....lucky for me i used the whole pack on it ...i epoxyed it down and then decided to park it in the garage...when i started it up i heard a rattle...rattle that i hadn't heard before...so it came to me...THE EXHAUST PLATE...the bottom of it was touching the exhaust bottoms....so i thought to myself maybe if i move it down a bit...so i pulled on it woudln't move...so i decided to pull on it as hard as possible and i managed to make it pop off :o ...rattle stopped...theres some epoxy on the part where we're supposed to put the plate...and ive been working on the back of the plate scraping it with a blade for almost 3 hours now and ive got most of it off.......ill try the double sided tape...hopefully it still doesn't rattle :o ...would it be a smarter idea to use epoxy and double sided tape?? i don't think i will ever be taking this plate off...IT LOOKED GREAT FOR THE 15 MINS I HAD IT ON THERE

That's why we're here!!
The guy at the shop just wanted to sell you something. I've had my plate double-taped on for over 9 months and is still where I stuck it firmly in place.
