i bought a set to replace my run-flats! great in dry/wet......no suprises in cornering, look great too! never got compliments on tires from strangers before, till i got these!
Just finished 4,000 mi. trip with these tires. They handled very well in wet and dry. Predictable, quiet and smooth. I've never tracked or dragged the car so I can't comment on extreme handling; but for normal street use and their moderate price you won't be dissappointed.
Also, have your alignment checked after 4 new tires, that made a big difference in my case!
I used up two sets of the original KD runflats on my C5, not sure if any of this would apply to the ones you are talking about. I hope not, mine really turned me off to BFG tires.
Good News:
The stickiest street tires I have ever driven.
That's the end of the good news.
Bad news:
The ride knocked my teeth out.
The noise drowned out my stereo.
Cornering limits were high but breakaway was abrupt.
Even with a new alignment check each time, the tires had to be replaced after about 20K miiles (1/3 tread remaining) because of cupping on the inside of the fronts. This produced a steering wheel shimmey that could not be balanced out because the tire was no longer round. The tires were asymetrical and directional, so each one was corner-specific and so I couldn't swap sides to reduce the cupping.
BFG kept the tires in their catalog at least a year after they were no longer available. Good thing I never trashed one.
