what a day
...but I've established sheading skin is bad
..so i got the front brakes all sorted out (at least I believe so) .. took em' off added some CRC stuff to the backings of it so it would make a good connection to the piston and then added some spray stuff to the pads and checked other things other members had suggested.
all in all .. it was one of the rear pads that was really squealing.

so I went down to order the new rear pads and after visiting one store and the guy trying to tell me my car came with ceramic pads .. i left and went to another where I had a K&N waiting ..
when i picked up my K&N I found out I was 30 minutes too late (from going to teh other store) and that they'd be here tomrrow
.. so i went down to Napa picked up a fresh set of rear rotors and brought them home and began (around 6:30pm) to pull my rear brakes off ..well as I found out, the rears aren't much different then the fronts, aside from the parking brake in the middle, which i thuoght was going to give me troubles, it didn't .. anyways I got the one side off relatively easy and then went to pull the other side off ..
this is where it gets fun .. the guys down a chevy a) used the wrong rotors, used a RR instead of a RL ..
.. the cooling pattern doesn't matter anyways .. and b) overtighten the p!ss outta the caliper bracket bolt .. luckly after two mallets, a pry bar, a scraped hand and about three hours I got it free.
*big sigh*
so now the paint is drying on the rear calipers and I'm sitting back relaxing for a few ..
tomorrow is a fluid change .. yeppi!

Have another one. At least you know it's going to be done right.
