NayKid Racing -- Traitors?
Quote:
NayKid Racing’s Dodge Vipers swept the weekend at the Thunderhill Opener of the 2005 SCCA Club Racing T1 season. NayKid Racing drivers traded up this year to the Viper from a Chevy Corvette because of the more powerful V-10-powered Dodge, after assessing the opportunities for their 2005 season. “We felt that we would have a better chance of winning the national championship this fall in a Viper,” one driver said, “so we switched brands.”
What's up with NayKid?! What were they thinking?!

I hate to say it, but that's racing. You do what you've got to do to win. Dodge gives privateers a lot more support than GM does (anything is better than nothing).

Where were the Vipers last year at the Runoffs? Thirty-some T-1s and almost all were Corvettes. Fred Baker, 3 time National Champ, (I'd say he's a decent driver) came in second in a Porsche. I don't even remember a Viper qualifying for the finals.

Just goes to show ... there's always something bigger and badder out there.
I still love my C5 though ... even though I would like to get a Lambo in 8 yrs.

May not be popular on this forum, but the end result was a win for them. Can't blame them for making what they felt was a good business decision.
