Lexan Top Owners....
Pulled the glass top out of the garage and to my horror (discredit) saw tiny specks of red paint (overspray) on it. Then I remember.. dumb azz me! It was in the garage uncovered when I painted my calipers in early winter.
I know you have to be careful about what you use to clean the top to prevent scratching, but does anyone know if using a claybar on the top would be dangerous. TIA

Try using Meguires cleaner wax, It may take some work, but it should remove the overspray without any adverse affects.

The lubricant can be straight water, detailing spray, or a water/car wash detergent (Zaino Z-7
) solution. Just make sure the claybar and car top are both wet.

I would only use stuff made for Lexan, Novus makes a lot of cleaning products specifically for Lexan.

Claybar should work fine as long as you use plenty of detailing spray. Good luck getting the overspray off.

Doesn't the Lexan have a tint film over it? That might need something else.

If you check the owners mannual, it points out that only certain types of glass cleaner should be used. BE CAREFUL before you start using anything stronger. If you do use sometype of other cleaner, I would test it in a spot that won't show.
