Mirror Removal
How hard is it to remove the side mirrors? If someone can give me a walk through on how to remove them I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

I can't give you a step by step, but I think its a fairly involved process. SOmeone posted some time ago that they were thinking about adding the lighted arrows to the side mirrors that come on when you hit the turn signals. It seemed to me to be an involved process.......maybe do a Search to look for that post????/ SOrry best I can do for you. Somone else may chime in with more substantive help.

I really have nothing to add either. I just wanted to post something so I too could add to my stars.
All that being said, on a serious note, I need to remove my mirrors to be repainted also. If there is someone who can post a serious reply I'd be interested. Thank You.

you need to remove the inner door panel and remove the speaker to get at the mirror mounting studs. Once you remove the nuts they slide out.

I'll assume there is also an electrical connection to be undone?
Can you just grab the door panel and pull real hard and it comes off?

Look under the signal mirror group purchase thread, and you will find a detailed instruction link on the mirrors.

Here you go. The PDF instructions explain how to remove the door panel, speakers, and side mirrors. It'll also tell you what tools to use. Enjoy...
