When I did mine I put a towel on the trunk and laid all the letters out and pre checked them for fitment. Then I took a small file and made sure there were no tags on any of them. When I clean the car I don't like the towels catching anything. That's just a pain in azz. Then I used the adhesion enhancer that was supplied and proceeded to put them all in. Once started it didn't take but 5 minutes. Post some pics of yours when your done!!

Too bad I installed them before reading your post, now they're on with sharp points and all . I tried to post my pictures but I'm not allowed to post attachments. Probably because I'm only a junior . Any way, I really like the look of the SS letters. Anyone sitting on the fence about these should just do it.
HELP! My hand was not steady and my "Es" have the mis-aligned center line. One too many beers. What is the bet method to take just the center part of the "E" off and re-apply it without messing up the whole letter? Appreciate your assistance.
The instructions I received w/ my SS letters were to not just use "alcohol" but to use denatured alcohol. There is a difference. You can pick it up at a Lowes or home depot.

- peeled/lifted it out carefully by prying under with a small (eyeglass type) screwdriver (carefule not to bend it);
- shaved old tape off back w/ razor-blade;
- got some red, 3m double-stick tape from HomeDepot (3M Exterior Mounting Tape);
- applied adhesive promoter to letter;
- put tape on backside of letter, pressed;
- trimmed letter out of larger piece of tape carefully with razor blade;
- re-stuck, paying attention this time
2 questions for you "pros" at this:
What happens if I just use rubbing alcohol to clean it? Will that still work?
Once you put them on, are they permanent, or can I take them off at a later date if I decided to?
