Default Newbie question

I need to clean my engine.....can some kind soul give me some tips on how to go about it? It is mainly dust from the shop when the hood was left open, no grease or oil. Thanks.

Get the engine warm (not hot) - 170 or so. Spray with Simple Green & let stand 5 minutes or so. Rinse. Dry & detail with towels.

Air compressor works well. I go with a buck twenty psi on the air gun.

Vacuum it with your shop vac fitted with a dusting brush then blow it with a jet tip on your air hose and then vaccuum a second time to get up any residual dust and grit.

NEVER EVER PUT SIMPLE GREEN ON ANYTHING ALUMINUM!!!!!
